The primary purpose of the Directory is to make information on Caribbean regional civil society organizations available to institutions in the public, private, and civil society sectors, particularly those institutions that need to interact with civil society organizations within their spheres of operation. The structure of the Directory will evolve over time, enabling integration into national and regional program implementation modalities as practicable.
These civil societies include trade unions, professional associations, social movements, indigenous people’s organizations, religious and spiritual organizations, academe, and public-benefit non-governmental organizations.
They are registered in the Caribbean and having experience, working relationships, projects, or providing technical services in several countries within the Wider Caribbean Region.
